Latest NCAP Crash Test Results
The Proton website has this to say about the new Savvy, "Road bullies, beware! With a body strength of 17,000N/mm, the Proton Savvy is as tough as a car twice its size."
Now most cars only have ABS but the Savvy has:
1. ABS (Anti-lock Braking System)
2. EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution)
3. BEBD (Back-up Electronic Brake-force Distribution)
I have some idea what ABS is, but what the hell are the other two?
Anyway, Euro NCAP, Europe’s leading independent crash test organisation, has confirmed that the Peugeot’s 1007 is the highest scoring car ever in all classes for adult occupant protection (one of seven cars to be awarded the coveted Euro NCAP five star rating).
The model is also the best in the Super Mini Class.
The Proton Waja (Proton Impian in Europe) received the three star rating for adult occupant protection and one star for pedestrian protection in 2002. I am not sure whether the Proton Savvy has been tested as yet.
Here is the summary of the results:

Lack of Funds
I am truly sad to learn that lack of funds has prevented Malaysian rally driver Karamjit Singh from retaining the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) title. It was reported that he could not understand why he couldn't secure sponsorhips despite having won the APRC overall title three times in the last four years.
Championship Titles
2001 Asia Pacific Rally Championship for Drivers
2002 FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship for Drivers
2002 FIA Production Car World Championship for Drivers
2004 FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship for Drivers
I guess it has to do with the fact that rallying is not that popular in Malaysia as compared to say the F1 even the Japan GT races. It's not glamorous enough.
Sincerely hope that some of the big companies come forward to sponsor this true motoring champion who has made a name for himself in the motoring World. At present he still needs additional sponsorships to enable him to finish competing in the production car category of the World Rally Championships (WRC).
Also known as the 'Flying Sikh', Karamjit made his rally debut in 1986 and in the WRC in 1994. He shot to fame following his success in the Malaysian Open and the National Driver's Championship titles in 1993. He was Malaysian National Rally Champion from 1990 to 1997 and also was Thailand National Rally Champion in 1998.
He formed Asia's most successful rally team with co-driver Allen Oh. They won the 2002 World Rally Championship production car title and were three time overall winners of the Asia-Pacific Rally Championships. Allen has retired. His present co-driver on the Proton Pert team is John Bennie from Scotland.
