Isuzu Launches the D-Max

Isuzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Isuzu Malaysia)launched the D-Max pick up at Subang Jaya yesterday. It is the first Isuzu vehicle to be assembled locally.

The vehicle is assembled in Pekan, Pahang by DRB-Hicom's subsidiary, Malaysian Truck & Bus Sdn Bhd.

The vehicle has a 3.0 litre direct injection diesel turbo intercooler engine and comes in five colours – Astral Silver, Imperial Blond, Zenith Blue, Steel Black.

Three variants are available:
1. 4x4 manual: RM89,011
2. 4x4 automatic: RM96,443 and
3. 4x2 automatic: RM87,395.

Isuzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd is a joint venture company between Isuzu Operations (Thailand) Company Limited (IOT) (32.6%), Isuzu Motors Asia Limited (IMA) (18.4%) and DRB-HICOM Berhad (DRB-HICOM) (49%) to import, assemble and sell Isuzu LCV vehicles in Malaysia.

They has set up a distribution network of 20 3S centers all over the country.

Eight of these centres are owned and operated by "Super Dealer" Automotive Corporation (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (ACM), a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM.
